Sarah is a BAFTA award winning writer who is currently working on her screenplay MARY,  inspired by her own experience having a father who worked as an undercover detective on the Flying Squad. The story is about a young girl who forces her estranged father to face his past when she ends up in the boot of his car one bitterly cold winter’s evening and saves his life.

Sarah has written several award-winning shorts, including SLEEPING WITH THE FISHES, which won a BAFTA, and THE EVENING HER MIND JUMPED OUT OF HER HEAD, which won the Encounters Award for Best Animated Short Film. She also co-wrote critically lauded short MORNING, which was nominated by the European Film Academy and won an IFTA, and COCOONS, which was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award and won the Wolfgang Längsfeld Award for the Most Original Film.

Sarah is a co-founder of Tin Drum Pictures – a collective of female filmmakers (www.tindrumpictures.com). She has written commercial scripts, branded content and editorial for clients including The Telegraph, Stylist Magazine, Unilever, HSBC, Singapore Airlines, Airbus and Mew Lab.

Sarah recently received a prestigious MacDowell Fellowship in the United States, and she is a Visiting Lecturer on the MA Animation course at University of the Arts London. For screenwriting, Sarah is represented by Marnie Podos at United Agents.
